TRAVEL agents are being urged to derack First Choice’s
cruise brochure after the company sent a letter to previous clients offering a
15% discount if they book direct.
Tailor Made Travel company director Simon Morgan said he
received a letter from First Choice which encourages clients to call into a
local agent to collect a brochure, but offers a 15% discount if they book
direct.
Morgan said: “Does First Choice now see agents as free
distribution points for its brochures? I have thrown all my First Choice cruise
brochures and I suggest other agents do the same.”

Wimbleton said he was disappointed Morgan had not contacted him first and added
First Choice gives most agents a 15% discount to pass on to clients. He could
not comment on why Tailor Made Travel was unable to offer a discount.
