Amadeus to roll out Web system

Amadeus is to roll out a new system in the UKnext year that will allow Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Princess Cruises to put their itineraries on an Internet-based booking system.

The global distribution system supplier, which is currently being rolled out in the US, uses point and click technology, Amadeus had previously offered a link to Royal Caribbean International’s own Cruise Match reservation system but this is the first time it has had its own cruise booking product.

Amadeus senior vice-president corporate strategy Phillipe Chereque said: “You can log a complicated booking that includes cabin reservations, dining and activities in under five minutes.”
