Cruiseline seeks new UKclients with promotional plan
Royal Caribbean International is discussing bringing Adventure of the Seas, an Eagle-class mega-ship launching next year, to the UK, to give potential clients a taste of the cruise experience.
Senior vice-president international Gary Bruton said the cruiseline is talking about offering a two-night cruise to nowhere for several thousand, with space booked by travel agents. “The wow factor is big once passengers come on board and we have to try to communicate that to potential new clients,” he said.
“Some 99% of our distribution is through agents – it’s the most profitable product,” he added. “We just wish the numbers were higher.”
