CROSSAIR has
announced it may close loss-making routes and sell some of its aircraft.
The Swiss airline
claims it may have to take the action, resulting in the loss of 200 staff, to
ensure the economic future of the company following the rejection of a working
agreement with the Crossair Cockpit Pilots’ Union.
A Crossair
spokeswoman said: “This is definitely not going to affect UK routes, UK routes
are all very successful.”
She added that
Crossair will be increasing its London City to Zurich service on October 29
with the introduction of another flight. This will bring the total to six
flights daily.
