Aer Lingus strike to go ahead

Report by John Lavabre

AER LINGUS is cancelling a number of flights today because
of a four-hour stoppage by clerical workers.

The Irish airline has been preparing for the action, which
has been called because of a pay dispute, and hopes 80% of operations will go
ahead as normal. Some flights have been rescheduled.

The clerical workers will stop working at 10am and resume their
duties at 2pm.
