TRAVEL Deals Direct will increase its broadcast time from five hours to 18 per day from November 15.

Commercial director Gary Wardrope said the changes follow deals struck with JMC, Cosmos, Royal Caribbean International, P&O Cruises, Hayes and Jarvis and Somak Holidays. Since launching eight months ago, the channel has only worked with Airtours.

“We have had limited product and expect an increase in calls once we have extended our hours,” said Wardrope.

It will employ a further 35 reservations staff in its call centre to cater for the expansion.
