Cosmos rejigs brochure focusin move to raise booking levels

COSMOS has refocused its winter 2001/02 Golden Times programme after it failed to hit its target market.

The operator has withdrawn product that also featured in its core Winter Sun programme and included destinations and properties that are traditionally popular with the over-55s.

Product director DannyTalbot said they even considered pulling the programme. “It now concentrates on destinations and hotels that we know are popular with this age group.”

New is Lanzarote and Finnish Lapland, introduced after resort reps said many children were accompanied by grandparents.

Cosmos’ Quickies have also been added while lone holidaymakers will now be catered for under Singles Weeks at 10 properties.
