F T icuts capacity
AIRTOURS’ troubled German operator FTi is cutting capacity by one-third and raising prices by between 3% and 7% for summer 2001.
The move is part of its strategy to halve its £80 million losses next year and break even by 2002. FTi’s charter programme will be cut to 800,000. Airtours group managing director Tim Byrne said increased fuel costs have led to the price hike.
