Devitt ties up with ABTAto offer agents’ policy
DEVITT Insurance Services joined forces with ABTA to launch a commercial insurance policy for travel agents at the association’s convention in Kos.
The travel agent’s professional indemnity cover is only available to ABTA members.
Under General Insurance Standards Council regulations, companies selling insurance must have £1 million professional indemnity cover.
Devitt business development manager Bill Boyce said:”The policy covers agents for errors or omissions, like misdating paperwork, giving incorrect visas, advice or misspelling a holiday.”
The professional indemnity cover will offer public liability insurance for agents who act as occasional tour operators, covering customers for accidental injury while on a package holiday organised by the agency.
