* virgin islands stage popular spring regatta
The British Virgin Islands Spring Regatta, set for April 6-8, 2001, is anticipating a record number of events. The regatta is fast becoming a popular fixture in the Caribbean racing calendar and is proving a key attraction for participants and tourists.
* antigua offers VIP clearance facilities
Antigua is offering a fast-track facility at its international airport for visitors who arrive by private charter. This enables them to bypass queues at immigrationand customs.
* ocho rios welcomes entertainment village
Jamaica’s resort area of Ocho Rios, home to the famous Dunn’s River Falls, is to be the location for a $16m entertainment village. The main features, to be completed late next year, will include a visual and interactive tour of the history of Jamaican reggae music, called Reggae Explosion.
