* australia celebrates 100 years as a nation
The Federation 2001 event will celebrate Australia’s centenary as a nation on January 1 next year. Celebrations will take place throughout the year but Centennial Park in Sydney’s central business district will be the main focus of activities at the end of the Centenary of Federation Parade on January 1.
* schoonraad to visit earl’s court event
Richard Schoonraad, Australian Tourist Commission business development manager, retail and events for Europe, South Africa and Middle East will be at WTM for the first time. He is responsible for the ATC’s presence at promotions and its Aussie Specialist scheme.
* have a birthday drink with the qantas bunch
Roll up for drinks and birthday celebrations on the Qantas stand on November 13 and 14.
