UStrade body to plug Web site at WTM
The Travel Industry Association of America aims to meet with the UK trade at WTM to give more information about its new Web site.
It claims that SeeAmerica.org is the first all-inclusive site that has established links to all major US travel e-contacts. More than 1,000 are already on-line.
TIApresident and chief executive officer, William Norman, whose 1,600 members represent all sectors of the US travel industry, said: “We want to make it easy for people to get information. The site is a one-stop address to save time in finding the sources they need.”
He added that the new site was specifically developed to provide international visitors with information about the US – a service normally provided by tourist offices.
TIA claims that with hundreds of travel Web sites scattered across the US, it has been difficult for consumers to finds answers to specific questions on product and destinations.
Users of its new site can search by location, activity and price to find a host of destinations, hotels, attractions, transport and other travel suppliers.
