P&O’S Princess Cruises’ ship Crown Princess is to join Germany-based Aida Cruises in 2002. Aida is part of P&OPrincess, the cruise company created by the demerger of P&O and its cruise division.

Rennaissance Cruises is giving agents an advanced taster of what to expect in its 2001 brochure. A pack containing flyers with itineraries and fleet information has been mailed out to agents. New for next year is a 35-day Jewels of The Orient cruise from Hong Kong to Bangkok. Prices lead in at £1,299 per person.

Royal Olympic has appointed Nilo Ashgar as area sales representative for the south. Ashgar, a cruise veteran, has been in the business for 14 years, previously working with Celebrity Cruises, Cruise World and Orient Line.
