Bath attacks senior figures for turning their backs on convention
ABTA president Stephen Bath criticised senior industry figures for turning their backs on the Kos conference.
During his closing speech, Bath said there were a number of industry leaders who claimed they were too busy to attend.
Bath failed to reveal names.
However, while the top four operators were out in force, senior executives from Lunn Poly and Going Places didn’t make the trip.
“I have a message for those who are not here – get your diaries sorted out,” said Bath.
Bath also pledged to try and get more women involved in ABTA.
“I said in my opening speech that our board has never been more representative until someone told me it does not contain a single woman – it’s true,” he said. “By next year I would like to see at least two women on the board.”
