PRINCESS Cruises has reported a rise in operating profit to £132.2 million in
the third quarter to September 30.
Highlights
of the report include:
* Earnings
per share were up 61 pence
*
Passenger cruise days increased by 26%
* Operating profit rose 8% to £132.2 million
despite a £4.2 million increase in fuel costs and £2.1 million lost because of
the exchange rate
Princess Cruises’ chief executive officer Peter Ratcliffe said: “It has been a
good third quarter for P&O Princess Cruises. We have grown the business
significantly.”
