MINISTERS of tourism from the 15 European Union member
states are meeting in Lille next week to look at different ways of developing
tourism across mainland Europe.
The meeting, on November 22, will start with a forum
designed to promote debate between EU members and private and public travel
industry partners.
It will include three workshops tackling the three themes of
sustainable tourism and employment, tourism and regional growth, and the role
of the tour operator.
The forum will be followed by a seminar discussion based on
the issues raised.
