A NEW All-Ireland Marketing Company has been set up to
handle joint tourism promotions for Northern Ireland and the Republic of
Ireland.
The company has been created under the Good Friday
Agreement. It will be owned jointly by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Irish
Tourist Board, with six board members from each side. The chairman will be from
Northern Ireland and the vice-chairman from the republic but the head office
will be in the south, with a regional office in the province.
It will be funded by the two tourist boards, which are
expecting to have extra government money for the new body.
