Augsburg Airways bolsters Munster service with Nuremberg connection

GERMAN carrier Augsburg Airways is boosting its London City Airport route to Munster in Germany with an onward connection to Nuremberg.

The daily flights, on the Team Lufthansa partner airline to Nuremberg, began operating at the beginning of last week. The new addition coincides with the start of the new winter timetable.

Nuremberg is now London City’s fourth German destination and the third from Lufthansa partner airlines.

The daily Augsburg Airways departures from Nuremberg will be at 8am and 5.40pm, arriving at London City at 10.25am and 8.05pm, via Munster.

However, direct London City to Munster flights will continue during the winter with flights at 12.15pm and 8.35pm, arriving at 3.05pm and 11.15pm respectively.

Augsburg Airways claims 10,000 passengers have used the Munster route and believe that the introduction of the Nuremberg route should bolster traffic even further. Fares from London City to Nuremburg start at £139 return and Munster at £119 return. Flights on the new route will operate with Bombardier Q300 Dash eight aircraft.

In addition to Munster, Augsburg Airways also serves Frankfurt.
