Australian Tourist Commission MD to retire

THE Australian Tourist Commission is looking for a
replacement for its managing director John Morse who is to retire next July.

The commission hopes to appoint a successor by the summer.

Morse joined the ATC in 1982 as industry liaison manager. He
served as regional director in Europe between 1984 and 1991 and Asia between
1991 and 1995 and took on the managing director’s role in 1997.

ATC chairman Nick Evers said: “John Morse is identified with
Australian tourism more than any other industry leader in recent times.”
