Report by John Lavabre
BRITISH Airways has drawn up a list of six potential buyers
for Go, its low-cost subsidiary airline.
A spokeswoman for BA said: “Yes there is a shortlist. All I
can say is that we have received approaches from a range of different people
but we are not going into detail, it would not be appropriate.”
Some reports have named Ryanair as a possible bidder while
Go chief executive Barbara Cassani is thought to want to lead a management buyout.
Nobody from Go or Ryanair was available to comment.
BA announced its plan to sell Go last month saying it wanted
to concentrate on the premium end of the market.
