P&O North Sea Ferries plan to decorate its two new
cruise-ferries with specially commissioned works of art by British and Dutch
artists.
The two ships, the Pride of Rotterdam and the Pride of Hull,
are due to enter service in May and December 2001 respectively.
Thirteen British and Dutch artists will be commissioned to
produce a piece of art on the theme of nature. Their artwork will then be
displayed in the cruise-ferries’ cabins.
