Holidaymakers stranded in Mexico for 39 hours

Report
by Lydia Wilson

JMC
HOLIDAYMAKERS have arrived back in Britain nearly two days late after the
aircraft scheduled to fly them out of Mexico suffered a catalogue of
operational problems.

The
aircraft designated to fly out to Cancun to take the holidaymakers home
encountered problems at Gatwick, where hitches with its window heating system
put it out of operation. JMC then chartered an aircraft from Boston, which flew
stranded passengers back to Gatwick on Wednesday night (January 10),
thirty-nine hours late.

JMC
has offered each delayed passenger £70 as a goodwill gesture.
