Tiny British airline named one of the world’s best

IN A case resembling David and Goliath, a Bournemouth-based
airline with only one aircraft has been named one of the best in the world.

Palmair European, which has one Boeing 737 and employs 22
cabin crew, has come third in a Holiday Which? airline survey that asked
respondents whether they would recommend a particular operator to a friend.
Palmair, whose chairman Peter Bath greets every passenger personally, came
third only to Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines. In comparison, Virgin
Atlantic came ninth and British Airways took twenty-sixth place out of 61.

Palmair flies 14 times a week to destinations including the
Algarve and mainland Spain.
