BA staff help to paint the town Paisley

BRITISHAirways staff are certainly no strangers to getting their hands dirty in the name of business.

A few obvious tricky examples spring to mind. But, for a group of more than 300, their dirty dealing was for a far more worthy cause.

The world’s favourite has become Paisley’s favourite with some neat bits of DIY at a school and hospital in the Scottish town.

The army of volunteers from as far afield as Australia, China and Vancouver were dispatched – or possibly ran from – BA’s world sales and marketing conference being held in Glasgow to help.

They refurbished the Mary Russell School inside and out by painting, landscaping and putting up some new play equipment.

At the Hawkhead Hospital, the team worked on improving a centre for young children with development disorders.

The weekend’s work was officially unveiled by breakfast TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.

After this heart-warming story, final word to BA director of sales Dale Moss. “We are a company made up of individuals who are known for the heart and caring we display in the communities we serve.”
