Jobs go in Thomas Cook shake-up

THOMAS Cook has axed jobs following the restructuring of its
retail division under new distribution managing director Andrew Windsor.

At least 20 roles have gone from the retail and dot-com businesses,
including two at director level. A third director is likely to leave, while
other senior managers are said to be disgruntled and are considering their
futures.

Windsor said: “Thomascook.com was set up as a stand-alone
business and has separate departments from the retail business. They have now been
bought together which has led to a degree of overlap and a number of job
losses.”
