Family-friendly services
airtours has introduced a mobile phone service to its Family First properties for parents taking advantage of the crèche or early evening child-care service so they can easily get in contact.
thomson offers the choice of pre-booking cots, buggies, highchairs, playpens and bottle warmers. Customers can also pre-order a baby-care pack of nappies, baby wipes and other essential toiletries for £17. Baby food can also be pre-ordered, as can a play set consisting of bucket, spade and ball.
first choice is now offering an all-inclusive kids’ package, giving parents the option of going half-board themselves while allowing the children to go all-inclusive. The operator has also introduced complimentary kitchen packs for families staying in self-catering accommodation. The packs include essentials such as washing-up liquid, bin bags and J-cloths.
stena line has introduced a crèche on its Fishguard to Rosslare route. It is not necessary to book in advance, but there is a small charge for the service. The operator also offers a wide range of activities for kids once on board the ship, including a children’s cinema, face painting and live entertainment during the school holidays with acts such as jugglers, magicians and clowns to keep them amused.
