DELTA Air Lines is adding a third daily flight to its Gatwick-Atlanta service this summer.
Senior vice-president network managements Mark Drusch said demand for the current double-daily operation forced the carrier to increase the schedule.
Drusch was unable to give an exact date for the new timetable but expected it to be in June. Delta also plans to replace the B767s and MD-11s used on its ex-Gatwick flights to an all Boeing 777 operation.
In Manchester, where Delta Air Lines serves Atlanta and New York JFK, Drusch said load factors were improving.
