Agents form breakaway group
A GROUP of Scottish Advantage Travel Centre members has formed a breakaway association in a move to improve commercial and marketing deals with operators.
The seven-member Scottish Top Agents Group will retain their membership of Advantage but will use their collective strength to build on existing commercial terms.
Chairman John Wilson, from Cambuslang Travel, said: “We are happy with Advantage but feel there are other opportunities we can explore. For example, some operators may find it easier dealing with a smaller group of agents. This is all about increasing our earnings as competition is getting tougher.”
Along with Cambuslang Travel, other members are Barrhead Travel, Bill McCarthy Travel, Frutin Travel, John Semple Travel, King World Travel and Martin Singer Travel.
