New hotels in St Louis
Marriott Renaissance: the 916-room Renaissance Grand Hotel and the 165-room
Renaissance St Louis Suites, adjacent to the America’s Centre convention
complex. Phased opening from next January.
Westin: opened its first hotel in St Louis in March in a group of converted
19th-century railroad warehouses called Cupples Station, five minutes’ walk
from the convention centre. It features 257 rooms, including 15 suites, meeting
space and an executive health club.
Sheraton: a former merchandise warehouse on the west side of downtown is
being transformed into the Sheraton St Louis City Centre Hotel. It opens on
June 1 and will offer 288 rooms and suites, 14,000sq ft of meeting space, a
20,000sq ft health club with Olympic-sized swimming pool and a 10,000sq ft
themed bar and entertainment area.
Drury Plaza Hotel: this property is another historic building that has been
converted. It is located near Gateway Arch and offers 370 rooms, a business
centre, a swimming pool and complimentary breakfast.
