&#42 boutique hotel opens in sydney

A 33-room boutique hotel called Establishment has opened in Sydney’s George Street. The original George Patterson House building was ruined by fire in 1996. Its heritage aspect has been maintained with the hotel retaining its ‘ruins’. Features include a two-level nightclub, a sushi bar and private lounge bar. Room rates lead in at £105 per night. Melbourne’s answer to Establishment is the deluxe Mansion Hotel at Weribee Park — a grand Victorian house built in 1870 that retains all of its original features.

&#42 openings and upgrades in city

The ANA Hotel Sydney has been renamed the ANA Grand Hotel Sydney. Claiming to have the largest rooms in the city, the hotel offers five-star service and harbour views along within-room Super SpeedInternet access allowing guests without laptops to log on via the television using remote keyboards. Medina Serviced Apartments, which operates 15 apartments in four states, has opened three newproperties in Sydney’s central business district: the Grand Harbourside, Executive Sydney Central and Classic Martin Place.

Hilton is also spending £45 million upgrading

the Sydney Hilton.

&#42 stamford continues to expand portfolio

Stamford Hotels and Resorts has added three properties in Sydney and one in Brisbane to its portfolio of Australian hotels. Last year it opened its all-suite Stamford Plaza Sydney and in November the 140-room Ritz-Carlton Double Bay became the Stamford Plaza Double Bay.

FOurth night free

The Regent Sydney has a Sample Sydney package featuring a fourth night free when booking athree-night stay. Rates start at £86 per room, from May 1 to August 31. The hotel also has a Suite Aussie Getaway package until December for £89 per suite per night.
