Qantas unveils new economy fare structure
QANTAS has announced a new
fare structure for domestic economy-class travel aimed at simplifying the booking process for customers.
The move is also part of an initiative designed to give the airline a more competitive set of fares in the market.
Qantas executive general manager marketing Denis Adams said the structure focuses on four distinct fares in each of its two key customer categories – business and leisure travellers.
“The structure offers customers wanting fully flexible fares substantial savings,” he said. “Prices will depend on demand and capacity, rather than complicated conditions requiring advance pre-purchase and booking periods.”
On leisure air fares ,Qantas is reducing advance purchase rules and has introduced a new fare with no advance purchase requirements.
