Manchester markets new routes for summer 2001
MANCHESTER Airport has published its summer timetable with a number of new routes and increased frequencies.
New international services include six flights a week to Washington and Chicago from bmi british midland and two weekly flights from Canada 3000 to Vancouver and Calgary. British Regional Airlines will also offer a new service to Gothenburg.
Domestic routes will receive a boost with the introduction of daily services to Cardiff from Air Wales and a Dublin service from Luxair.
Increased international frequencies will see a daily British Airways service to Berlin and an increase from three to four daily services to Dusseldorf; from five to six weekly flights with Luxair to Luxembourg; six weekly flights from Monarch Crown to Alicante and, from May 1, daily flights to Malaga.
Boosted domestic frequencies include bmi flights to Edinburgh increased from 22 to 30 a week; BA to Jersey from two to three a day; British Regional Airlines to Stansted increased from three to four a day and Eastern Airways to Norwich from three to four a day.
