SINCE its acquisition by ANZ Tailor Made Holidays in October, bookings for Aussie Homes’ specialist holiday homes and apartments have gone from strength to strength.

The operator launched an intensive promotional campaign this month to highlight the brochure’s key points to 500 independent agents.

The relaunched Aussie Homes brochure features private homes and apartments in Perth, Cairns, Darwin, Sydney and Melbourne, plus a strong selection in Adelaide and on the Gold Coast.

Aussie Homes managing director Philip Read said there is a demand for this type of accommodation across all sectors of the market.

“It suits clients who are visiting friends and relatives who need private space, as well as couples, families and business clients on long stays. We’re offering the convenience and privacy of your own home at good value for money.”

Among the most popular rentals are the Maclaey Apartments in central Sydney, leading in at £370 per week and Hilary’s House in Perth, a property sleeping six with a pool, costing £388 per week including airport transfers. Quirkier options include three converted prison cottages in Freemantle.

The Aussie Homes brochure is complemented by the Australia and New Zealand Hotels & Homes Blue Book, which is aimed predominantly at independents and miniples.

Read said: “This is a deliberate policy. We’re not in thebusiness to ‘pile it high and sell it cheap’. We’re very aware of the need to find an individual product and we’re pretty sure we’re unique.”

The new ANZ Brochure comes out in June and will feature good-value Australia City Packages that include transfers, hotel accommodation and sightseeing, and two Sydney Gray Line passes in addition to apartment rentals. Visit the Aussie Homes website: anzres@usaholidays.co.uk.
