Wallace Arnold is increasing its focus on the short-breaks market by freezing prices for all British weekends away in its autumn 2001/spring 2002 brochure.

The programme also features a Christmas preview brochure as well as a selection of sunshine breaks and Easter holidays.

New to the British four-day weekends selection is the Emmerdale and Herriot Country break based in Leeds, which includes dinner, bed and breakfast and two full-day excursions, including one to the Emmerdale TV studio. It leads in at £119.

New tours for Europe include a seven-day D-day Beaches of Normandy break, from £269, and nine days near Lake Geneva, including TGV train travel, for £459.

The Sunshine Escapes offering includes a selection of nine 15-day trips to destinations such as Madeira, Sorrento and Malta between October and April. A total of 13 Christmas breaks in the UK and Europe, leading in at £169, are included before the release of a dedicated Christmas brochure.
