Waldorf Towers promotes value to broaden UK client base

LUXURY New York hotel Waldorf Towers is targeting the UK market in an attempt to broaden its client base.

The hotel, which is part of the Leading Hotels of the World group, is launching an advertising campaign and has appointed a UK representative for the first time.

Sally Little has joined as UK sales representative to build up interest among the trade. She will work from her base in Ringwood, Hampshire. Waldorf Towers general manager Eric Long said he wanted to send out a message that the hotel offers value for money.

He said visitors to New York are aware of the hotel but do not think to stay there because they may consider it out of their price range.

One night’s stay in one of the 159 individually decorated rooms, which all have separate sitting rooms, costs $375 per person. Each room is designed for long-term stays and entertaining.

A host of famous people have stayed at the property, including US presidents and the Queen.

Private boardrooms and executive meetings packages are available and commission and familiarisation incentives are available for agents.
