Footpaths reopened for Bank Holiday

FOOTPATHS
closed because of the foot and mouth outbreak have been opened in time for the
Bank Holiday weekend, according to the Countryside Agency.

Holidaymakers
visiting the countryside will find 31% of the network is now open, a 5%
increase on last week.

A
spokesman for the Agency said the situation varies across the country, but that
local authorities hope to have all paths opened that are not in a protection
zone as soon as possible.
