TOURISM to Australia is becoming increasingly niche
orientated with new, dedicated product catering to diverse markets including the
grey, gay and high-adrenalin thrill-seekers.
Speaking at the Australian Tourism exchange in Brisbane,
Australian Tourist Commission director consumer marketing services Catriona
Fraser identified new products and trends emerging in key areas.
These are: the aboriginal experience, alternative types of accommodation,
adventure travel, health retreats and day spas and rail travel.
