ON-LINE agency Ebookers is to outsource some of its
operations to India in an attempt to cut costs.
From the middle of this month, a call centre service company
based in Bangalore will provide 50 staff to handle telephone enquiries and
email while Ebookers has opened offices in Delhi to deal with its web-chat
service, emails, accounting and data entry.
In addition to this a software company in Pune has been
taken on to carry out development work.
Ebookers chose India because of its skilled technology
workforce and competitive cost structures.
