Britannia flight forced to make emergency landing

A BRITANNIA aircraft heading for Orlando was forced to make
an emergency landing at Manchester airport earlier today when a burning smell
was detected in the rear galley.

The Boeing 767, which had taken off from Manchester, was an
hour into the eight-hour journey at the time. Engineers are trying to discover
what caused the smell.

None of the 315 passengers or 11 crew were hurt as a result
of the incident.

A Britannia spokeswoman said the airline hopes to resume the
flight later today.
