PASSENGERS heading by road to Birmingham International
Airport during the first weekend of August are being advised to allow extra
time for their journey.
The M42 motorway, a key route into the airport, will be
closed between junctions 7 and 9 between 11pm on August 3, and 4am on August 6.
In addition, the link roads between the M42, junction 8, and
the M6, junction 4A, will also be closed.
The closure is to allow for essential demolition and
dismantling work in preparation for the construction of the Birmingham Northern
Relief Road.
