ryanair aircraft blocks Manchester airport runway

A RYANAIR 737 aircraft with two burst tyres is blocking a
runway at Manchester Airport.

There have been some minor delays because of the incident
and four flights have been diverted.

The tyres burst after the aircraft landed at 8.25am and was
unable to get off the runway as a result. None of the 33 passengers on the
flight, which was coming in from Dublin, were hurt.

Engineers are now working to replace the tyres and move the
aircraft off runway one. In the meantime, the airport’s second runway is being
used for all take-offs and landings.
