ABTA’s trade relations committee is to meet a cross-section
of operators this week in a bid to bridge the divide between operators and
agents on contentious issues such as national rate 0870 numbers.
The meeting, to be held at Newman Street on August 29, is
part of wider plan instigated by ABTA board member Sandy MacPherson to improve
the relationship between the two sides.
MacPherson said: “Our trade exists on how operators and
agents deal with each other and there have been many issues lately which have
left agents feeling alienated.”
He would not reveal which operators are taking part.
