AIRLINES are preparing to resume transatlantic flights
following the lifting of airspace restrictions over America and Canada.
Air Canada hopes to commence some international flights
today while Virgin Atlantic and Icelandair hope to operate some transatlantic
flights tomorrow.
British Airways and bmi british midland are to issue
statements later today, although bmi has ruled out any transatlantic services
until tomorrow at the earliest.
All the airlines are expected to give priority to passengers
who have been stranded since the terrorist attacks in the US on Tuesday.
