Amadeus sees bookings drop after US tragedy

GLOBAL distribution systems supplier Amadeus has reported a
28% drop in airline bookings following the terrorist attacks in the US last
week.

The North American market, which accounts for some 4% of
Amadeus’ total annual booking volume, showed a 74% decline from 11-14 September,
while reservations for the rest of the world decreased by an average of 19%.

President and chief executive officer Jose Antonio Tazon
said: “We hope the situation will stabilise in the coming weeks, now that
