THE BRITISH Tourist Authority
is going ahead with a £250,000 campaign to encourage New Yorkers to visit the
UK.
In a show of defiance to the
terrorists that brought carnage to the city, the UKinNY campaign, scheduled to
run from October 14-28, has been renamed UKwithNY.
It will feature a series of
events promoting the UK’s arts, culture and sights – although the two-week
event will be scaled back because of logistical problems in New York.
