Hotel check – Ti Kaye Village
location: Anse Cochon beach in the south of St Lucia, approximately 80 minutes’ drive from Hewanorra International Airport in Vieux Fort and 40 minutes from George F Charles Airport in the north.
service: Ti Kaye is family owned and managed, and the service is informal, friendly and relaxed.
facilities: two bars, Kai Manje Caribbean restaurant, dive school, swimming pool and sundeck, fitness centre.
overall impression: a peaceful and rustic newly opened property consisting of 33 cottages built in French Creole style, each with four-poster bed, air conditioning, balcony with hammocks and open-air garden showers. Some of the cottages also have their own plunge pools.
suits: couples, honeymooners, those looking to get away from it all. Not recommended for young children.
rates: Caribtours is offering seven nights at Ti Kaye in an Ocean View Cottage for £1,225 per person on a bed-and-breakfast basis, including flights and private transfers. This rate is valid between January 1 and April 15 2002.
