Egypt sailings
ROYALOlympic Cruises has dropped its cruise calls to Egypt because of a lack of passenger confidence in visiting the Middle East.
It will replace Egypt with Venice and Corfu as part of its Grand Three Continents itinerary operated by Olympia Voyager.
The ports of call now include Piraeus, Venice, Corfu, Santorini, Istanbul and Rhodes.
Head of UK operations Vic Howlett said all passengers due on Olympia Voyager’s forthcoming departures have been informed. He said:”We are fortunate as the high-speed capability of the Olympia Voyager allows us to provide an attractive alternative.”
In addition Royal Olympic will offer six round-trip sailings from Houston to the Caribbean and Central America during 2002.
Olympia Voyager will begin its winter itinerary on February 4 with a 12-day Panama Canal cruise.
It will also offer a series of seven-day and nine-day Caribbean itineraries from the port. Lead-in prices are still to be confirmed.
