FUNWAY Holidays is placing faith in an upturn in
transatlantic travel by offering year-round city breaks to Chicago, Washington
DC and New Orleans for the first time.
The trio of US cities joins Funway’s most popular
short break destinations of New York, Boston and Las Vegas in the operator’s
biggest ever brochure.
The 2002 ‘USA: Any Way You Like!’ brochure also has a
wider selection of properties in Vegas and New York, an Hawaiian cruise has
been added and motor homes made available for touring.
Funway now has 24 featured hotels, instead of 18,
along the famous Vegas Strip, including the stunning five-star properties of
Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and Paris, Las Vegas. Prices lead-in at £389 for a
three-night stay.
In New York, the operator has increased its hotel
collection to 20 properties from 17. The additional choice is aimed at clients
wanting top quality accommodation as Funway has included The Warwick, off Fifth
Avenue, The Le Parker Meridien, Doral Park Avenue and the Hilton Times Square.
The chic Hudson is also given greater prominence in the brochure.
However, Funway did have to drop the Millennium Hilton
from its New York selection following damage during September 11’s attacks and
will only start taking bookings for the Embassy Suites at the end of March.
A three-night break starts at £445 in the Big Apple,
although agents are advised to contact the operator’s sales staff as hotel and
airlines are putting on special deals for New York.
Of the new city additions, three nights in Washington
begins at £415.
Funway has also improved its Hawaii offering by adding
a week-long cruise as an add-on feature for clients. Under an arrangement with
Norwegian Cruise Line, customers already in Honolulu can spend seven nights
cruising on the Norwegian Star liner for £629.
Customers in Hawaii can also choose to combine three
nights in Los Angeles and San Francisco with a stay in the Hawaiian capital
from £1,195.
The motor home option allows a client to hire a
vehicle for the set Funway fee and discover the States for themselves.
Agents are reminded that
early bookers will receive significant savings until January 31.
