* Bmi to offer BA passengers seats on belfast route
Bmi british midland has promised to minimise disruption to British Airways’ Belfast passengers by offering them space on its flights from Heathrow to Belfast City Airport. The move follows BA’s recent announcement that it is withdrawing its Heathrow to Belfast International Airport service.
* us airways alters in-flight meals to cut costs
US Airways is modifying its in-flight meal service between the US and Europe in a bid to cut costs following the US attacks. The carrier insists the changes to meals on its US to London flights will be “slight”, but has not yet worked out which elements will be affected.
* luxair boosts stansted to luxemborg service
Luxair is to launch a third daily flight between Stansted and Luxembourg from October 28. The carrier, which currently operates two daily flights between the airports, said demand is increasing because Stansted provides direct access to London’s financial district for its business clientele.
