An open letter to British Airways head of UKand Ireland sales Tiffany Hall
Having just read about your plans to scrap agents’ commission from January 1 and replace them with service fees, I would be interested to know how a public limited company could even consider treating the public so badly.
No-one would doubt that BAWorld Offers are great deals, but why ensure that no one will hear about them.
Why penalise anyone who books through an agency that issues tickets on departure rather than an electronic ticket, or rather someone who prefers to book via an agency instead of direct?
Why encourage agents to promote foreign airlines that offer direct services rather than a British company? Or is it simply the case that your sole motivation for everything isn’t the public whom you are supposed to serve, but your end of year bonus?
